With Mille Miglia nearly underway, yesterday saw the historic Bugatti Type 35 being prepared for action. Taking place at the Fiera in Brescia, the car underwent the traditional process of scrutineering that requires it to be in its perfect original condition, in accordance to the rules of the competition. As only cars built between 1927-1957 are eligible to race, every vehicle was scrutinised under the watchful gaze of Mille Miglia race inspectors. Of course, with its striking blue finish in honour of France’s rich racing history and exceptional engineering, it was hardly surprising eyes lingered a little longer on the Type 35.
