Unfortunately, the pricing for this new model will be announced by Honda later this year. However, for the more curious part of the audience, some technical details were unveiled in a company’s recent press release.
First of all, as you might have already guessed, this custom model is powered by a 1312cc 52-degree fuel-injected V-twin engine with re-profiled camshafts and a new exhaust system, which allows the bike a fuel economy of 56.5 mpg. We will let you only imagine the sound that comes out the bike’s twin stacked pipes.
The radiators for the liquid-cooled machine leave the impression they were left out by mistake, offering a more traditional look. The whole chopper looks is highlighted by the widely-raked front forks, the small, high-set 12.8-litre fuel tank which sits behind the single chrome headlight, down to the striking nine-spoke front and seven spoke rear wheels.
The designers had it all figured out, having the slim front tire exaggerated by the wider rear tire, while the V-twin motor rules the mid-section. The long, low chassis hides a single shock rear suspension system with an aluminium swing arm and adjustable rebound and preload adjustment. The VT1300CX has the longest wheelbase of any Honda production ever, a full 1805mm between both axles.
A range of accessories will also be available for the UK customers, including:
- A tubular chrome backrest and optional backrest pad for pillion comfort
- A wide, low screen with chrome stars for protection from the elements when cruising the streets
- Color-matched front spoiler for increased custom appearance
- Chrome-plated steel rear fender to complete the solo-seat look
