Mercedes A-Class
The
Tata Nano is a horrendous looking little thing, so thankfully Tata's
latest car, the Megapixel, is a thing of futuristic beauty. A concept
show car for now, it features electric-petrol technology and sliding
side doors and could come to many non-Indian markets if it makes
production.
Only
150 Aston Martin Zagatos will be built, at a cost of around €480,000
each. Available in four unique colours, each car takes 2,000 man hours
to build and is based on a shortened DBS platform with that car's V12
engine.
Like
James Bond's Q department, the Aston Martin Virage has gone underground
for some major trickery and emerged with a rear luggage rack strapped
to the boot lid, an HD video camera to record track-day antics and
forged alloy wheels. Sadly, it doesn't appear to come with your own Miss
Moneypenny.
Tuning
companies have already started tarting-up the McLaren MP4-12C and
Mansory's treatment is the most outrageous yet. Not content with
fiddling with the exterior, they have had a spanner around under the
bonnet and upped the ante to 670hp and raised the top speed to 211mph.
Citroen's
runaway success in WRC rallying has brought us the Citroen DS3 Racing
and now its bigger brother the DS4 has had the WRC effect. Its 1.6-litre
turbo blends good emissions with strong performance thanks to 256hp and
only 155g/km of CO2.
