Tesla Designs Gran Turismo 6 Virtual Supercar
Launched
over the weekend just past, the much-anticipated Playstation 3 virtual
auto race game, Gran Turismo 6, will see digital-image cars submitted by
no fewer than 17 companies, including Tesla Motors.
Evidence for this came by way of promotion by Polyphony Digital, and
the rendering above with Tesla’s logo clearly in place depicts a swoopy
Tesla supercar – looking far more aggressive than a Model S shown in a
May video trailer posted below.
The electric car maker will thus see its logo compete against other
top-name internal combustion powered virtual-image cars, including by
Mercedes-Benz, Aston Martin, Bertone, Zagato, ItalDesign Giugiaro, and
SRT.
Tesla has said it wants to build a “supercar” which could follow its
entry level car promised a few years hence, but we’ve not yet seen any
indication this drawing is more than fiction.
Or maybe it’s a possible source of inspiration? Either way, it comes
from the creative minds at the Fremont, Calif. startup, and all you will
need to drive one is the game and a TV.
